The Movement started as a combination of several
things. For some, it started when we realized that the idea of
social standards and proper public behavior took a back seat to
individual expression and disregard for others. For our founders, it started as a sad realization that most youths in America are blind to the simple notion of 'right and wrong.' The fact, that someone could openly bash the principles on which free speech was formed, was so paradoxil, they needed to take a stand. Taking a stand, however, would not be enough. They had to start a movement. And in a short time, the idea has spread. 'Do the right thing.' It was so simple, yet it felt so good to believe. What if everyone could just put themselves aside for a moment and do what was right? Better yet, what if it actually made a difference? Which brings us to why we are here. The movement will be different for everyone. If you see something wrong, do something about it. It doesn't matter what you do. But as long as we all do something, it will not be for nothing. |
